This project proposes the adaptive reuse of a floor in a former open-plan office building into a co-living residential environment. The design seeks to balance private spatial autonomy with shared communal zones, underpinned by sustainability, accessibility, and a strong sense of place identity.
The apartment design responds to the building's irregular geometry, with the triangle emerging as the dominant form. This geometric language is expressed across multiple scales, from the spatial configuration of the rooms to the design of the furniture elements.
The kitchen island
The kitchen is made up of a single module that includes storage, a food preparation area, and a space for eating. For this reason, the kitchen has large dimensions and requires a supporting structure, which in this case is fixed to both the ceiling and the floor.
The dinning area
The table, custom-made to align with the design language of the entire apartment, has a triangular shape. Due to its large dimensions, it incorporates an internal wooden structure to provide the necessary strength and stability.
